The end of the games

Summary

They were really upset about the decision that Plutarch has made. They wanted to be in the real combat, at first Gale and Finnick were arguing with him but at the end they accepted it and stopped arguing. They were already in the combat position they were supposed to be and start to shoot some propaganda. One day they where shooting propaganda when suddenly a real bomb explodes. Boggs died and the others went looking for a refugee. They found an apartment and some food in it. They spend sometime there until they decided to follow Katniss to the Capitols mansion. They were trying to figure out which way they should go and they decide that the underground path was the best way. They start their way underground towards the mansion, when suddenly they hear something strange. That noise was the mutts approaching. They started to run but just a few of them made it out. Katniss, Gale, Peeta and 2 of the team were the only ones that made it out. They split up and Katniss went with Gale, Peeta alone and the other 2 were together. They wear costumes and start approaching the Capitols mansion. When Katniss and Gale were really close, some rebels started shooting and then they saw the medics come down. Katniss saw her sister Prim, and in a second she was gone, a bomb just exploded and killed Prim. They found Katniss and took her inside the mansion. Now Coin is in power. Snow was captured. Katniss is going to kill Snow in the day of his execution. The day came and she didn’t kill Snow, instead she killed Coin. They locked her for a few days. After a few days, they send her back to District 12, her home. One day, Peeta went to Katniss house and told her, he is there to stay with her. Gale went to District 2 to help train soldiers and her mom went to District 4 to help build a hospital. Everything is back to normal. One day Peeta ask Katniss if she loves him, real or not real. Katniss finals answer was...REAL.

“If you immediate answer isn’t Coin, then you’re a threat. You’re the face of the rebellion. You may have more influence than any other single person.” (Pag. 266)

Well obviously Katniss is a threat, not only to Coin but to everybody. She is the face of the rebellion, that means that she has more power than anyone else could ever have. She has a lot of influence in other people and that's good but that also means she has a great responsibility. She has to make sure she doesn't do anything that could make things worse after a while, she really needs to be really careful.

“My name is Katniss Everdeen. Why I am not dead? I should be dead. It would be best for everyone if I were dead…” (Pag. 375)

I have a question for Katniss. Why do you think everyone will be better without you? You are their role model, you are the face of their rebellion, you speak for them. They will nothing without you, you are their only chance. Maybe because you think that because of you many people have died, you think by you being dead less people are going to die. But, what about the other people? The ones that are left? Who will help them? You are really important to everyone so just don't try to kill yourself.

Conclusion
The end of the book was really great. By now knowing That Peeta and Katniss are back together is so great and to hear that Peeta doesn't hate her anymore is really a relief. I think that it will be awsome to know what happens next. If I could write the continue of that book, I think I would tell how Peeta and Katniss made their life together. How they grow up, had a family and how hard was for them to explain they were part go the Hunger Games. Yeah, I will definitely will put that the games were over and that was part of history. Katniss will tell her children what the games were and how her and their father were part name. How she destroyed it and putted and end to it. It would be awesome if there was a continue of the book. I love how the author makes an end where you can create you own end with your own imagination. I enjoy creating my own final it was pretty amazing how many finals a person can imgine.

The start of the war

Summary

Katniss can't take the idea of Peeta hating her and still be so close to him so she decided to move to another District with Presidents Coin's permission. She goes to the rebel part of District 2 where she is escaping from her problems. District 2 is where the Capitols Peacekeepers are train and is where the military things are. All of those things were in a mountain that Katniss has named it the "Nut", Gale, Boggs and herself decided to make a plant to destroy the Nut. Their plan was successful, they destroy the Nut and kept inside the people. After destroying the Nut and leaving the Capitol without any military supplies, they returned to District 13. When they are back in 13 they tell Katniss that there will be a wedding, Finnick and Annie's wedding. This propaganda of the wedding was for the people see and have something fun to watch. They started planning the attack to the Capitol and they told Katniss she couldn't go because she didn't go to the trainings. She was really upset but after going to some training, they accept her to go. She joined the same group were Gale and Finnick were in and Boggs was the leader, the group was the sharpshooters (bow and arrow). Later Plutarch told their group that they will be the Star Squad, that they will not be in the front line of the combat but will be the on-screen faces of the invasion.

“What do you mean, I’m not going to the capitol? I have to go! I’m the Mockingjay!” (Pag. 233)

This was the worst idea someone could have ever made. Katniss is the best shooter they could ever have and they just want her to stay!?!? The first one in combat should be her, she should be in combat and that's it. I was really disappointed when this part of the book came. I was so excited for her to go to combat and when I read this I just stopped reading and try to figure it out why they made this decision. 

"Therefor, we've handpicked the eight of you to be what we call our 'Star Squad'. You will be the on-screen faces of the invasion." (Pag. 257)
Why did they chose them out of all the other groups? It's because Katniss was there and she was the Mockingjay? Why, just why? I think that by putting Katniss, the Mockingjay on screen may be a great idea, but are they going to be in real combat? Like in the other propagandas, most of the scenarios were not real completely so why would this one be. Maybe it would be better to choose another group to be Star Squad, so then the best shooters can help in the combat. 

Conclusion
I think Katniss decision was the best one she could have ever made. It's so difficult to be around someone that loved you and now hates you, or at least you think they do. It's really hard to just see them, and not see the same face as before. One time I had a friend, we were like best friend and we told everything to each other, but now we don't even say hi when we see each other. It really hurts so that why I think Katniss decision was the best one. She just decided to go away for a few weeks so she could get herself back together and then have the strengths to face Peeta. Maybe later in the book, Katniss will feel more comfortable and secure with herself.

The decision

Summary

Katniss Everdeen has decided to become the Mockingjay. 

She decided to become the face of the rebellion but with some conditions. Some of the conditions where that they will give the other vitas immunity and that she will be the one killing President Snow. After she announces her decision of becoming the Mockingjay, she started to do propagandas for the rebellion with her team. Finnick Odair, also a victor from the games and a friend of Katniss was there and helped with the propagandas.  They send Katniss to District 8 where the Capitol had bombe a few days ago. There was a hospital were all the people were in, Katniss was filmed in there. After a few minutes the Capitol start bombing District 8 again but this time Katniss destroyed the aircraft but it was too late, they had already destroyed the hospital. Katniss and her team continued doing different propagandas. They decided to go and rescue Peeta and the others from the Capitol. When the rescue team came back from the Capitol, they came back with Johanna, Annie and Peeta. Katniss went to see Peeta and when she was with him, he grabbed her throat a tried to kill her. They started to examine Peeta and find out that he was hijacked while he was in the Capitol. Hijacked means that you can't tell what’s real and what’s not real and they can change the memories a person has. Katniss starts to freak out because now Peeta thinks she is a monster and not the girl she loves. 

Text Response

“My lips are just forming his name when his fingers lock around my throat.” (Pag. 177)

In here, Katniss is trying to show how Peeta has changed in the Capitol. Now he is not the same. While I was reading this part, a bunch of questions popped to my head. Why is Peeta doing this? Why is Katniss not doing anything? Why is Peeta, the man that loves Katniss, trying to kill her now?

“Don’t trust her, Delly, says Peeta in a frantic voice. I did, and she tried to kill me. She killed my friends. My family. Don’t even go near her! She’s a mutt!” (Pag. 190)
I think Peeta is overreacting in this situation. Well maybe is true, that Katniss killed all those people but it wasn't her intention to do it. She is the same person that was back in the games but the problem Peeta isn't. I can see now how Peeta has change and he is really not the same as before.

Conclusion
By Katniss becoming the Mockingjay, everything is going to be easier. She is willing to do everything to bring down the Capitol and President Snow. Her propagandas are helping he rebellion grow and I think thats a good step for the rebellion. I think Peeta was hijacked against Katniss because the Capitol wanted to turn him into a weapon against her. My prediction of the book is that maybe after this, Peeta will be back to normal and him and Katniss will be friends again. I think Peeta will be treated and will start recovering as soon as possible. 

The beginning of the end

Summary

Katniss Everdeen is now in district 13. After destroying the arena of the hunger games, she was rescued and taken to 13, they didn’t rescued Peeta. The authorities of 13 wanted Katniss to be the Mocking jay but she wasn’t very pleased with this, so they took her back to district 12 for a quick visit, so she could see that 13 and her were on the same side. When she got there, she saw everything the Capitol did to her district, her home. She saw a lot of death people and all of the buildings destroyed. She went to see her house, it wasn’t destroyed at all. She entered her house and started looking around, when she was about to leave she saw something that cached her attention. A white rose, the moment Katniss saw the rose she knew it was from President Snow, the head of the Capitol. After a long visit in 12 she went back to 13, when she arrived she was called to go to the room were 13 authorities were. When she got to the room she saw Peeta on the TV in an interview, now at least she knows that he is alive.

      -“The symbol of the revolution. The Mocking jay.... I must now become the actual leader, the            face, the voice, the embodiment of the revolution.” (Pg. 10)
       Katniss has a clear vision of what she wants to do. She wants to become the voice of the                      rebellion against the Capitol and not just become the symbol she wants to act. She wants to                  become the leader a lot of people need and someone that can help the against the Capitol. I think        Katniss is really good example of a person that knows what he/she wants and fights for what they        believe.

      -“I killed you. I think as I pass a pile. And you. And you. Because I did.” (Pg. 5)
      Here Katniss thinks he is guilty of the death of all those people. Maybe she is right. Maybe part of       it it's her fault but not everything is her fault. The Capitol bombed district 12 because Katniss was       from there and they were part of the revolution but Katniss didn't know anything about it until the       end of the games. She is destroyed and hurt by seeing all those people dead because they support         her but, everyone has a choice, right?

Conclusion
You can clearly see how Katniss is a person that worries about others. The Capitol is against her and after all she still fights for what she believes, she doesn't gives up. You can see that Katniss is not sure wether she wants to be the Mockinjay or not but she knows she wants to help and fight against the Capitol. Katniss is a really good example to follow, she fights for what she believes and she doesn't care what other people say about her. Well yeah she worries about others and don't want anyone else to die because of her but she is not going to give up. I think as the book continue, Katniss is going to decide to become the Mockingjay and that she is going to do things against the Capitol so they see that she is not going to stay silent. She is going to help people and do extraordinary things in this rebellion. But we'll see what happens next...
